about

MC Homeless moved to Austin, Texas in 2011 and it was mere weeks before he crossed paths with the crafty emcee known as Bernichus. They have been sharing bills at different venues ever since. Chris Boasso, aka Transplant, met Bernichus a few years later and the two eventually formed HaplogroupX. In return, it was Bern who introduced Homeless to Chris as things came full circle. Chris then took on engineering duties for Sex and Death, which Homeless released on Fake Four INC. The rest is history as the three combined powers, bringing Duress to fruition.

Duress is a solid slab of fuzzy psych samples, apocalyptic vibes, and vicious rhymes that tackle the climate of our chaotic modern world with unrelenting wordplay. Transplant brings the rarest of loops as Bernichus and Homeless take a step back and observe everything from cult leaders to 90’s pop culture. This EP is the first collaborative release from MC Homeless and HaplogroupX, and also their first Milled Pavement debut. All production is handled by Transplant. The lone guest verse is reserved for fellow Milled Pavement recording artist, Anthony Maintain.
